Hi Rich,
The quick answer is yes…Registering your car is to show your car at the show.
A little background:
This particular event is a fundraiser for the Boys Republic. There are several donation options to choose from but I believe you are referring to the two types of tickets: General Admission Spectator and Single Car, Truck or Vintage Trailer. As a club the members that are going to display their car (Single Car, Truck or Vintage Trailer ticket), will gather at pre-meet location and travel in together….it will be very early I am sure (6am gates open for registered cars) in order to get their cars cleaned and staged…not as involved as a concours but registered cars are judged. More info on this will be released as we get closer to the event. Those that chose to purchase a Spectator ticket do no need to drive in so early as they will park in the public parking and will attend the event based on their own schedule and can bring any vehicle they like as those vehicles will not be on display. However as a SGVR PCA member that arrives as a Spectator…they are more than welcome to come hang out and meet up with the rest of the SGVR gang and take off when they need to.
You can get a feel for what it’s like with this video and also here.
If you register…just keep in mind it’s a full day…early AM until the show ends at 3:00 PM.
If you have any other question or if I missed something let us know.
